Sutra Teachings and Sixteen Drops of Kadam Empowerment in Taiwan

Taipei, Taiwan — August 29, 2026: Continuing his ongoing visit to Taiwan, His Eminence Kundeling Tatsak Rinpoche imparted profound Buddhist teachings and conferred a sacred empowerment at the request of the Taiwan Gelug Association.

On August 26 and 27, Rinpoche graciously bestowed the oral transmission (lung) and an extensive commentary on the Sukhavativyuha Mahayana Sutra, The Array of the Pure Land of Sukhavati, over two days. The teachings provided devotees and practitioners with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the Mahayana teachings and the path to the Pure Land of Sukhavati.

On August 29, at the continued request of the Taiwan Gelug Association, His Eminence conferred the empowerment of the Sixteen Drops of Kadam (Kadam Thig-le Chudrug), allowing participants to receive the associated blessings and transmission within the Kadam tradition.

These programmes form part of His Eminence’s extended religious visit to Taiwan, during which he is engaging in a series of teachings, transmissions and empowerments at the invitation of Buddhist organisations and centres.
