At the invitation of the New York Drepung Gomang Center for Engaging Compassion, His Eminence Kundeling Tatsak Rinpoche bestowed profound teachings and blessings in New York from August 8 to 10, 2025.
On August 8, Rinpoche gave a comprehensive teaching on “The Way of the Bodhisattva” (Bodhisattvacharyāvatāra) and conferred the Long-Life Empowerment of Buddha Amitayus, the Buddha of Boundless Life, at the Phuntsok Dheshi Community Hall.
The following day, August 9, began with a Long-Life Prayer Ceremony for His Holiness the Dalai Lama, presided over by His Eminence. Rinpoche then continued his insightful teachings on The Way of the Bodhisattva. In the afternoon, he bestowed the Amitayus Initiation, delivered a public address on compassion and altruism, and granted personal audiences and blessings to devotees in attendance.
On August 10, 2025, at the request of the New York Palden Drepung Gomang Dharma Center, Rinpoche graciously presided over a Prayer Service for the Attainment of the Realm of Great Bliss in the morning, followed by the Six-Armed Mahākāla Initiation
Later in the afternoon, His Eminence attended the 90th Birthday Celebration of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Inauguration Ceremony of the Drepung Gomang Dharma Center as the Chief Guest. Rinpoche officially inaugurated the new center and delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing the vital importance of unity among Tibetans to fulfill the noble aspirations of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. He also reflected on the founding, spiritual heritage, and progressive development of Palden Drepung Gomang Monastery, honoring its enduring contribution to Buddhist scholarship and compassion.
