Kollegal Dhondenling Welcomes H.E. Kundeling Tatsak Rinpoche for Teachings and Blessings

Kollegal Dhondenling Tibetan Settlement, South India, 12–14 February 2026 — At the joint invitation of the Settlement Office of Kollegal Dhondenling and the local Goton Celebration Organizing Committee, His Eminence Kundeling Tatsak Rinpoche graciously accepted their request to visit the settlement and bestow Dharma teachings and blessings upon the local Tibetan community.

On 12 February, His Eminence departed from Mundgod for Kollegal. En route, he was respectfully received in Mundgod by the Settlement Officer of Kollegal, the President of the Local Assembly, the President of the Regional Tibetan Freedom Movement, the President of Dhondenling Nyamdrel, and the head of the camp leaders, who had travelled from Kollegal to escort His Eminence to the settlement.

Upon His Eminence’s arrival in Kollegal, he was accorded a traditional ceremonial welcome by the settlement leaders and representatives, together with representatives of the monasteries, heads of various local organizations, and representatives from all twenty-two camps of Dhondenling Settlement.

On 13 February, His Eminence gave a public teaching introducing the fundamental principles of Buddhism and meditation practice. The teaching provided members of the local community with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of Buddhist practice and the importance of cultivating a calm, compassionate, and disciplined mind in daily life.

On 14 February, His Eminence conferred the Long-Life Empowerment of Amitayus, the Buddha of Infinite Life, blessing the assembled devotees and offering them the opportunity to establish a connection with this profound practice. Following the empowerment, His Eminence delivered an extensive Dharma discourse on the importance of discernment in spiritual practice, offering clear guidance on what practitioners should adopt and cultivate and what they should abandon on the Buddhist path.

The three-day visit provided the Tibetan community of Kollegal Dhondenling with a precious opportunity to receive teachings, blessings, and spiritual guidance from His Eminence Kundeling Tatsak Rinpoche. The visit concluded in an atmosphere of devotion and gratitude, further strengthening the auspicious connection between His Eminence and the Tibetan community of Dhondenling.
