H.E. Kundeling Tatsak Rinpoche Bestows Avalokiteshvara Guru Yoga Teachings and Solitary Hero Yamantaka Empowerment at Tongdhe Lekshe Ling Monastery
Tongdhe Lekshe Ling Monastery, 21 July 2026 — At the heartfelt request of the Master (Lobpon) and the entire monastic community of Tongdhe Lekshe Ling Monastery, the seat monastery of His Eminence’s revered tutor, Jetsun Losang Tsultrim Palsangpo, His Eminence Kundeling Tatsak Rinpoche presided over a two-day Dharma programme from 20–21 July 2026, bestowing profound teachings and conferring the Solitary Hero Yamantaka (Vajrabhairava) Empowerment.
In accordance with the traditional Vajrayana practice, the programme commenced with preliminary teachings to prepare disciples for receiving the empowerment. His Eminence gave detailed instructions on the Avalokiteshvara Guru Yoga, Ladder to the Potala Land (Drudzin Zhing gi Themke), emphasizing the cultivation of unwavering devotion to the spiritual master as inseparable from Avalokiteshvara, the embodiment of universal compassion. The teachings also highlighted the importance of Guru Yoga as the foundation for receiving tantric empowerments and for progressing on the path to enlightenment.
Following the teachings, His Eminence performed the preparatory ritual (sngon ‘gro) for the Solitary Hero Yamantaka (Vajrabhairava) practice. Upon the successful completion of these sacred preliminaries, he conferred the Solitary Hero Yamantaka Empowerment, granting qualified disciples the authorization to engage in this profound Highest Yoga Tantra practice according to the authentic lineage.
The empowerment ceremony was attended by Jetsun Losang Khedrup Rinpoche, former Abbot of Gyuto Tantric Monastery, together with abbots, masters, monks, nuns, and a large gathering of lay devotees. The assembly received the precious teachings, blessings, and empowerment with deep faith and devotion, creating an atmosphere of profound spiritual inspiration.
The successful completion of this Dharma programme not only strengthened the continuity of the precious Vajrayana lineage but also further enriched the spiritual activities of Tongdhe Lekshe Ling Monastery, offering monastics and lay devotees alike a rare opportunity to receive authentic teachings and empowerment from His Eminence Kundeling Tatsak Rinpoche for the flourishing of the Buddha Dharma and the welfare of all sentient beings.
