Barcelona, Spain | 3–4 November 2025
At the invitation of Tibet House, His Eminence Kundeling Tatsak Rinpoche graciously arrived in Barcelona, Spain, on 3 November 2025 to preside over the Tibet Festival, an event dedicated to promoting Tibetan culture, values, and spiritual heritage.
As part of his visit, and at the request of the Montserrat Monastery, His Eminence visited the renowned monastery on Tuesday, 4 November 2025. Montserrat Monastery, a distinguished Benedictine institution with a history spanning over a thousand years, warmly welcomed Rinpoche, reflecting a deep spirit of respect and interfaith goodwill.
During the visit, His Eminence met with the religious leaders of the monastery, where they engaged in an extensive and meaningful dialogue on interfaith harmony, mutual understanding, and shared spiritual values. The discussions also focused on the noble deeds and compassionate activities of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, highlighting his lifelong commitment to peace, nonviolence, and global harmony.
It is noteworthy that His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama had previously visited Montserrat Monastery, and has spoken appreciatively of this sacred site in several of his later teachings and public addresses. His Eminence’s visit thus further strengthened the long-standing bond of respect and dialogue between the Tibetan Buddhist tradition and the Christian monastic community.
The visit stands as a significant step in fostering interreligious understanding and cooperation, reaffirming the shared aspiration for peace, compassion, and harmony among diverse spiritual traditions.
